Moong Dal Halwa recipe
Moong dal - 200g
ghee - 1 cup
cashewnuts(whole) - 10
jaggery - 150g
cardomoms - 4-6(powdered)
Roast moong dal in a dry pan lightly and steam in a pressure
cooker, adding 2 times water.
Allow it to overcook.
Remove and mash well.
Powder the jaggery, add 1/4 cup water and keep in low heat.
Stir until the
syrup becomes thick.
Add the mashed moong dal, cardomom powder, ghee and the cashewnuts
and stir well until it becomes non-sticky.
