Karela/ bitter gourd, the name itself brings frowns to most faces. But this is also among the most nutritious vegetables. There are various ways to make karela, you can stuff it, fry it or make its juice. I prefer this method. The onions render a sweet taste to this vegetable and adding some jaggery powder in the end enhances the overall flavor of the dish.
