Butter cookies recipe

All purpose flour 1½ cup
Sugar 2/3 cup
Egg 1
Butter 6 tbsn
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Melt butter on very low heat.

Remove flame and add half the flour and sugar.

Beat in egg and mix well.

Slowly mix in the remaining flour.

Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of ¼ inch and cut out cookies using cookie cutters and place 1½ inch apart on cookie sheet.

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are brown.
